Fritz Hansen was undergoing a rapid modenisation during this period under the guiding hand of Søren Hansen – later to become CEO and owner of the firm – who employed many young designers who would go on to become great names in Nordic design; Arne Jacobsen, Mogens Lassen, Magnus Stephensen and Frits Schlegel. K. Schroder was only recently identified as the designer of these chairs rather than Schlegel.
